From crisis to collaboration: Sunscreen sector charts a path forward | Retail Beauty March 2026

SPF was rarely out of the headlines in 2025. Amid the noise, a more important question emerged: how does the industry move forward to ensure Australians have access to safe, effective and affordable sun protection?

In November 2025, Accord Australasia convened an industry-wide forum to develop a roadmap for the category's future. International experts, manufacturers, brands, the TGA and the Cancer Council came together with a shared focus on practical solutions, covering everything from SPF testing reliability to ingredient access and manufacturing audits.

The forum and its outcomes are featured in the 2026 edition of Retail Beauty. Read the full article to see what the sector is doing to ensure SPF remains a shield, not a question mark.
