Dr Jennifer Semple
Senior Manager, Sustainability & Education Programs
Jennifer supports communications, public affairs, innovation and sustainability initiatives of Accord, with key roles for the development of Accord’s public information material.
Jen is a research chemist whose work has been published in a range of scientific journals. Her qualifications include a Doctorate in organic chemistry focusing on organic synthesis and synthetic catalytic methodology, a Bachelor of Science (Advanced, Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of New England.
Her work experience includes positions as a Research Associate at the University of NSW attempting to synthesise self-assembling DNA encircling molecules and a post-doctoral Research Officer with the University of Sydney applying NMR and statistical analysis to characterisation of microbial infection. Prior to joining Accord, Jen commenced building her career as a science communicator through freelance writing for Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum.
